    Have you fellas considered Ti?
SS is @ 2.5x heavier than Al alloy of unsprung weight added to high g movement. Nice parts you turned with high wear resistance. But also, keep those seals clean, seeing the wear on hard parts from dirt grit mixed with grease imagine how fast the rubber seals are being worn down. Im guilty of having axle grease in mine to help seal from water intrusion and then getting dirt grit in as well, just gotta service them consistently, no matter what material is being used for the spacers. Hard coat on Alloy is another option (and there are aftermarket manufacturers of these, EE for one)
Its a cause and effect issue, seal rubber vs Alloy rubber wears. Rubber, grease with dirt grit vs alloy both wear and alloy really shows wear. Rubber grease with grit vs SS ....rubber seal loses, dirt gets into bearing.... and so on.
PS Brothers this is not a stupid internet argue bs thing its just food for thought/ consideration. An engineering thought process. SS is for sure a bullet proof solution, but don't let it steer you off from keeping those seals clean as well, your wheels will roll out better as well.

sweet as mate can you pm me ya details

only need the one front spacer as I already got the other front & 2 sets of rears from Stefan. was gonna get someone to turn me one out but for $20 not worth driving to engineering shop!

yeh Robert Ti would be the go but im poor(kids & mortgage) so a bit of extra weight for a trail hack like me aint gonna make no difference plus as you say the SS is bulletproof which is exactly what I want! I do clean & regrease the seals(jam as much in as possible in the seal as well as small gap between seal & bearing-seems to be fairly clean & full still everytime I check em so probly helps keep dirt & water out I guess!?) when I change tyres/tubes or have the wheel off but generally bike gets a wash & when bearings are due they get replaced. I figure for the price of bearings plus what my precious(& limited) bike time is worth its not feasible for me to be tearing the bike down every week or 2 for preventative maintenance. just wait till theyre rooted then replace em is my motto on small things like bearings & other consumables. if I had more free time then I would change my tune im sure:cheers:

Are they the same as TE/WR? Do you have a mate with a 610 or WR that you can measure?
