  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

i was going to purchase some recovery straps for the husky but decided to made a set of my own out of 550 paracord. i think they came out pretty good if you ask me  had to match the bike with the black/red combo. now i've got something to grab onto when my bike decides to take a nap

Those are nice.

Elsewhere people have purchased the tool hangers from Home Deport and used/modified them.....pretty cheap and say Husky on them.

not easy on easy off. if i want them off, i will need to cut them off. believe me, i thought about making them for guys but it won't work unless i have the bike in my garage.

Nice. I'll take a set! :busted: Let's see some pics of the shroud glued on to your IMS please. :oldman:

i just fixed my graphics on the tank shrouds last night with some of my wifes acrylic nail polish. i put on a this new set on the tank the other week and the edges kept coming up. the nail polish trick worked great!!!

Those tuggers look great! Nice work. I caution you with the front strap; if you pull upward at all it will slide up the fork tube and may dork up your headlight. I suggest a single or double loop of 550 loosely wrapped around the lower triple clamp to help keep the tugger down there when your buddies start yanking hard. Hope that makes sense.
