Horn Doesnt work

Now I know this is a dumb question

I have searched all over and for the life of me cant find the horn on my 06 SM610

I know its not working, as the press of the button does nothing, so I am trying to track it down to see if its connected / loose wire etc.

Have had the sides off, the headlamp cover off as well, and cant find it

Is there anywhere else it would be hiding, or am I just a blind bugger

I'm new to Husky so I can;t comment with any authority on the subject.

First thing I'd check for is a blown fuse.

Then start looking for the loose wire

Yeah, have checked that out, the problem is, I cannont seem to find the horn, I assumed it was behind the headlamp housing, but there is nothing there....

On mine I'm pretty sure it's under the headlight. Near the turn signals but I have an 08.

I think then it may have been removed which is a bugger.

Though gives me an excuse to upgrade it to something loud

I've been having minor horn issues as of late but mine sounds like a bad connection.
It'll sound off but have the normal loudness and w/out that crisp tone. It might be related
to the other issue I've been having. This is kind of a wierd one. When I pull in my clutch
to shift my highbeams flash, haven't had time to check it out but I'm sure it's nothing

I have an idea about your problem. I don't want to rob this thread, so I'll be short. I was intalling some new bars the other day. I noticed, that if the lighting switch assembly was turned too far around the bar and the clutch perch was too far in on the bar, the clutch lever would hit the high-beam flasher switch located on the back of the switch assembly. Not saying this is your problem, but maybe...juuuust maybe...

As for the horn issue. I had this once on the 450 before I removed the horn. The leads that attach the wires to the horn are a little wimpy and will just come off after a while. I had about 15 hours on the bike when it happened. They have little plastic covers on them. Remove the covers and mash gently on the leads with pliers to snug them up, them replace the plastic lead cover and plug them back in.

In case, you're wondering why I'm in the 610 forum, well let's just say I'm a fan and by the way, my wife would kill me if she even knew I was in here as we already have too many sparkplugs in our lives...

Exactly! I did that when I was farting around with the bars and switches.

Finally found out what happened to my horn.

The mounting tab that holds it on, had snapped and the shop that i bought it from was meant to fix it before it went on sale.

Guess what they didnt do ! ....

Now its back on, although in a less the desirable way, I will need to find a replacement one, or find another horn that i can mount properly.

You were right. Clutch lever was just barely skimming the flasher
button. Well... that was an easy fix. Thanks for your input.

Glad everything got sorted

Have the horn zip tied to the triple clamp for now, going to need to source a new one though.
