Hot pipe

    Hi, My 390 auto pipe get so hot it burn my leg, is it ok to put heat tape or exhaust wrap on my pipe? Thanks Doug.

    Sure you can or there might be some manufactures that make "After Market" guard too.:thumbsup:

    Header tape (exhaust wrap) works great, been using it on my 4strokes for many years.
    If I have any complaint, it would be tight brushy trails (especially sage brush), and gravel flinging up does tear it up some, so plan on replacing it now and then......for me thats about once a year.

    (Husky pics attached from last weekend...and one of my old Suzuki that had wrap ran for 12+yrs)

    Starting at head and wrapping back, helps keep sticks out better.

    After washing bike I do fire it up to heat the pipe(s) and dry it.
