Guy's I have owned 4 husky's so far, now i owned a WR300 2010 model. This is by far the worst model i have owned.. not due to failure, but to lack of support.. This bike is suppose to be the pointy end of the stick.. cmon fellas i can better service from a Honda manual.. The supplied manual is nothing but junk.. Even the guy who are supposed to work in my bike do not have a work shop manual... what's with that.. I don't mind buying one even...But not to have one...thats a joke.. I can now see why all my mates laugh at my decision to buy husky still. The KTM manual is nothing short of amazing.. it offers the rider every bit of info thats is required. I now know why they do so well in comp.. Knowledge is power

Did you get the thick manual with several languages? I count 94 pages of English in there. It's not a full workshop manual but I'm thinking it's got most of what the average user needs. Sounds like it's a lack of dealer knowledge/support that you're not happy about?

It would be great to type things in a way that would not alienate people, clearly there are owners manuals & technical service manuals available for most of the bikes (possibly all of the bikes) in most of the world - though I don't have time to contact Australia to look into details at the moment.

For anyone reading this, the person in post #1 is in Australia and based on other things he has posted, there seems to be some miscommunication occurring.

Maybe enough for the average rider, but if you are like me and like to keep the bike in top mechanical condition you need the work shop manual... the manual they supply does even tell you how to inspect piston and rings....

I am sorry for any misunderstanding...but the truth is clear... I bought a husqvarna.. my husky does not come with a work shop manual... I have been told by my bike shop that they cant even get one...the manual it does come with is now where near enough for what the bike was designed to do...

I hear what you're saying but I don't think I've ever bought a bike with what you would call a workshop manual. In fact, after years of owning Jap machines, on and off road, the Husky manual is one of the better ones - save the odd Italian to English typo... I've always used Haynes manuals - don't know if they are global? - but they will give more than you will ever need in terms of tech (if one is available for said machine). Your dealer should have the official data - mine does - held electronically, as needless to say they have to refer to specs. I guess if they don't supply what you ask for, you would have possibly known that up front? If you have a good rep with the dealer I'm sure they'd give you the info you need at no cost. Or ask here. There are many knowledgeable guys here. It's not an answer to your complaint but sometimes other options are just as good.

Well stop having that "guy" work on your bike that does not have a shop manual. Just call Hall's Husqvarna and have them send you a shop manual on CD for 15$. It's a 2stroke so you should be able to do most service. I have several (for different models), and I never waited for more than a couple of days for them.

I have just spent a considerable amount of time searching the internet and there "IS NO WORKSHOP MANUAL FOR THE 2010~2011 wr250~300" you can try if you want but wont get one.. Even in the States they cant get one.. If I was a betting man i would all most think that this model is either going to be redisgned, or even deleted. "LISTEN UP BMW/HUSQVARNA... YOU HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO BEFORE i WILL BUY ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR BIKES....FULL STOP. i HAD TO ASK A YAMAHA RIDER THE SPECS FOR MY FORKS... WHAT A F$%^CKING JOKE. I am sick and tired of be the center of ridicule from my makes for sticking up for this brand... I'm changing and not coming back... I'm all better now... had my dumby spit.. Went out to shine my bike and feel much better... Sorreeee I dont know what came over me.. get another bike other than husky NEVERRRRRR

I'm sure you can get a manual for your 250-300 if you call a good dealer and ask. They might not have the '11 manuals yet. And before you freak out, I bought an '07 Harley and it was several months before I could get the '07 manual and quite a bit had changed since '06, so it's not like it's just Husky. I do think that if they're shipping the bikes, they should make sure the proper docs and manuals are available as well. It's a bit unprofessional to ship product without it.

But it's also unprofessional to ship software chock full of bugs and yet it's commonplace in the industry. Suck it up. Contact Halls or another major dealer and I'm sure they can set you up.

I hear what you are saying but i cannot keep "sucking it up" when we have bikes KTM who have there new electro start models and they have plenty of perfectly worded w/shop manuals. It puts husqvarna to shame. And there are not too many manufactures out there that do not carry manuals... all the Jap bike have them... Gas Gas, Tm, And even the BMW I bet has them... Why would'nt you make one.. it only strengthens there brand.. Holy crap.. I had a VOR530EN, and i got a work shop manual for that.. just think its very poor for a leading bike manufacture who is in its 3rd 300 model... not to get it done.. I dont think I would want to be racing a bike that has no servicing schedule for piston and such...

I will ask this question then.... does any one on this forum have a dealer supplied work shop manual for the Husqvarna WR300 model.. for that matter, a WR250 manual... I dont care what country you are from. That would be from MYO 2009~2011

Actually, for the first 6-9 months or so that I owned my first year F800GS, I could have got a workshop manual for one for $10,000. They were not available. And when they finally were, it was a crappy, PC only DVD that runs a special app instead of something more universal like PDFs I could print out...

    Thank you Coffee.
I know you must get crappy when people like me dump on here but I am not trying to discredit Husqvarna, only make them open there eyes to what can be a big issue along with other concerns that seem to be popping up here in Oz..
Please also be aware I have shelled out a lot of money over the past 5 years on huskies... it is only now i am worring about he future of this brand..!!
Thank you once again for helping out... I'll try to be a little more docile in my comment in future....

At the moment I am using the TE449 manual for suspension because the WR300 has a typo on the volume i think... It refers to referance "A" but has no pic... Also does any one know what the part number for the heavier spring is... can't find it any where..??

Cheers, that's the one. I know the OP is not happy at the immediate availability of docs. I wasn't happy when my brand new SM ran so bad and stalled but through info gained here, I've learned a lot about this never before owned brand and am now a happy owner. And that's credit to all here that respond so helpfully.
