I have a 09 te and want to remove my fuel tank. Where is the fuel connector to the efi. Figured I'd better wait and hear what you all have to say than breaking some plastic fitting that is on backorder and spending more money I dont have.

Remove the seat, then remove the bolt that secures the tank to the frame up near the head stem, lift up the fuel tank then you will be able to disconnect the wiring for the fuel pump, and also disconnect the fuel line and job done!

And as a reminder when you have the tank off, the fuel pump fitting is plastic and easily broken if you drop the tank. Replacement parts are not available from Husqvarna except as a whole new fuel pump assembly. (Though people have been creative in coming up with repairs.) You do -not- want the hassle or expense, so be extra careful not to drop the tank! (Thank you for all the people who have posted their experiences on this one. I learned the easy way, so far.)

Also, how to remove the tank is in the owner's manual.

The disconnect is a bitch to get your fingers on and squeeze and pull away from the tank fitting. 2nd time is easier. Maybe have someone hold the tank up so you can get good leverage.

I have the seat off and the allen bolt up near the headset, just seems the tank is still snug and doesn't want to budge. I must have overlooked the tank removal chapter in the manual, I will try to find.

Got it. Those nubs on the frame that fit into tank were the culprits. Thanks everyone
