I'm not sure but I have seen numbers as low as $300 for coast to coast ... $3000 is awfully low priced ...

Sounds like a good deal. Sure they've been well cared for all be it "ridden"! I usually throw a shipping bid request up on U-Ship and see what kind of responses I get if there's a bike I'm interested across state lines. You could get lucky at $300, but From CA to WV I'm guessing you'll be closer to $500 or so. Shipped a bike I sold from AZ to MI for $350 last winter for reference.

Huskymax I am a carrier, I haul freight, cars, bikes ect mainly in the 11 western. Expect to pay up to $500 to ship a bike to the east coast. Please do NOT USE USHIP. I say that cause I am a legal insured carrier. Uship does not verify that any carriers are legal or have insurance. I would either contact a broker in your area, or you could try posting on this forum http://www.autoexpeditor.com/, wanting a bike shipped. On that forum there are several guys from the east coast.
I was just in ziptys racing shop the other day picking up my suspension, Lots of nice bikes in there. Good luck.

I had a bike shipped two years ago from Canada to Kansas for $237. And one from Ohio to Kansas for $250. If you go business to business on some of the small truck lines that do LTL's you can get excellent deals. You just have to call around.

iv done more then a few,
what i charge on my Fleabay auctions..
100.00 crating fee, and drop off to a dock of a trucking company of choice in my metro area.
    or.
crating, and dock to dock shipping most US cities, for 350.00 flat rate.
avoid anyone who has never boxed up a motorcycle, youll be sorry.
foward air is pricey, but you can rent one of crates they offer. will cost you a bit more then 350.00.
Foward air has pretty much priced themselvs out of the motorcycle game.
years ago, i only used them i crated them and dropped them off, 3 to 4 a week.
frieght is a price per 100 pounds rate...depending on whats in the box and a declared value.
they charged me 200.00 from Co, to NJ, then the next week same box, from Co, to Mi, was 400.00
i loaded that box back on my truck and found a new trucking company...
also...AVOID FRIGHTQUAOTE.COM big rip off scammers. no such thing as pre paid feight with them.
paid in advanced to get a Husky from FL to CO. took then 2 mos, to get it here, and 3 mos later they sent me a bill for 300.00 for added fuel cost..
told em to take me to court!!!
    never again..
Roadway. Yellow, and others will give you a per 100 rate, IF YOU ARE THE SHIPPER.
not if you are the one getting the bike..
can be frustrating if your dealing with someone who hasnt shipped a bike.
you may do better with a private hauler, some guys do the picker thing and will hual it back for 200.00 or 300.00 to help with fuel costs..
had a couple guys that did this Co, Nv, NM, TX, Ca, ect. havnt heard from them in a while.

I'd ask a local husky dealer to help you out on it if you know any well ...
