how much oil txc250

Im trying to do my first oil change on my 09 txc250. I cant get the sight glass to show oil i between the marks. How much oil does the bike really hold. I changed the filter also. Thanks

With filter change - 1.8qts. 1700cc

Without filter change - 1.6qts. 1500cc

1.5 liters should do it. You'll at least be in the sight glass.

Make sure the bike is upright, not leaned over.

Takes a few seconds for it to show.

I guess whats confusing me is the .8 Is that 8oz As in 1qt plus 8oz?

No 1 quart plus 8 tenths of a quart, or 102.4 ounces.

Just under 2 quarts.
