250-500cc How to adjust float level Mikuni TMX 38?

Hi guys, I have a problem adjust float height new style Mikuni TMX 38. I read this article http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/347305-is-your-two-stroke-running-rich-read-here/ and I don't understand how can I adjust float level if my floater is small and I must to adjust 18-22mm. Maybe it means 18-22 mm fuel level? I think float height must be 6-7 mm. Help me

Mine was right on the money. I was seriously considering a PWK but after getting my jetting figured out, it has run flawlessly and usually starts on the first kick.

18-22 is for older tmx, it's the only carb i've seen that adjusting to level is no where near correct. I have a pwk and with the float set right on mikuni it's way more responsive in bottom to mid.

Thanks for re-uping the pics and carb info . I just set the float on my 08 CR 165 and she runs a LOT better and no more gas dripping from being on the side stand!

John what height did you use on older carb?
