250-500cc How to adjust float level Mikuni TMX 38?

    My float was set too high from the factory (as well as having the wrong jets and slide in it), so much so that the bike dripped fuel when it was not running if the gas tap was on. I adjusted the float level so that the floats were level and square with the edge of the carb body without the float needle spring getting compressed.

    18-22 is for older tmx, it's the only carb i've seen that adjusting to level is no where near correct. I have a pwk and with the float set right on mikuni it's way more responsive in bottom to mid.

    Thanks for re-uping the pics and carb info :cheers:. I just set the float on my 08 CR 165 and she runs a LOT better and no more gas dripping from being on the side stand!
