How to remove the Starter motor on a TE250 -2008

Hello,
My starter motor does not seem to work, its crunking and drains the battery in seconds.
Sounds like it is slipping on the gears but I was told this can be the case when the motor is burned or some circuits are shorted.

Question is - how do I remove the starter motor for inspection?
Do I need to tear down a lot or can I removed without dissmounting a lot of things?

Thanks, but still I dont find if I need to strip the engin to remove the start motor or if it can be replaced without removing and opening the engin, any clue?

I think you can remove the starter motor without removing the motor. Remove the coolant surge tank first and then it shouldn’t be too bad.
