How to secure battery.

    Any one got any pics showing how they secured their batteries properly in the newer bikes(08-09)? The stock method is pretty hinky.

    Industrial Velcro and a zip tie.

    We use a piece of thick weatherstripe 1/2" thick 2" wide x 6" long and slide it between the battery and the top of the sub frame leaving it over the top of the = and - terminals and flush with the front of the battery..

    The seat compresses the foam when installed but it allows you to move the battery and box when doing the aircleaner.

    I used a giant zip ty as well. Hasn't moved in 2 seasons.

    I am using Velcro now. Where do you secure the zip ties? Drill through the fender?

    my current battery hold down system.
    seems to work well.
