Good stuff Moto. Looks like the ideal TE449/511 voltage is around 0.7v. This is exactly what I was trying to do myself, only trouble is that the only places I could find that sell the Yazaki plugs that are used on the TEs, want to sell me minimums of 500 pieces! You can't get to the pins easily without damaging the rubber seals & I really don't want to cut into the original wiring & make a point for corrosion to begin..... Still haven't given up, but not looking great.
I cut my wires, the solder, dielectric grease, and shrink tube. Then got PCV and it show you the TPS voltages. Mine is 6.9V and 2000 rpm, works great.
I think the harness in this video may work on the 449/511. It looks the same in the pics, see http://www.tpstool.com
I'll have a look at my mates KTMs & Bergs next time I'm home from work. looks like a good thing, exactly what I was trying to do
Are the voltage readings different for model/engine size? Couldn't find voltage reading for my 2013 TXC 310....I didn't get a reading hooked up like the ktm so I used Dangermouse449 set up - red lead from meter to red lead on tps and black lead to ground...only got .3 volts
Couldn't tell by the video if this place has one but I have purchased some stuff like relays and connectors to wire my fan on my bike. Has a really good selection of the oddball jap style connectors. http://www.cycleterminal.com/motorcycle-connectors.html
Here is another place I found when I was shopping around. Had what I needed but I wanted to buy local for faster shipping. http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Elec__Products/Connectors/Sealed/sealed.html
Thanks for the info. I eneded up getting a test lead set from here. http://www.tpstool.com/ For the money, it wasn't worth messing with my own. I posted up a thread of the test here. http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/449-511-manually-setting-tps-using-test-leads.43940/
