I have two bikes now. One has gold wheels and red tank it is 2065 numbers on it and second bike has no tank and engine tag is missing but has alum silver wheels on it so. Compare two motors look the same but can be decieved.

At this point I believe the only way to tell the difference is to split the cases and compare the gear numbers with the Husqvarna parts lists for the two models. Attached is a gear chart I compiled from the Husky parts lists. It shows all the models for '78 and the gear numbers for each.
Once you match up the gear numbers, you will know what model you have.
And while you have it apart, you can replace the bearings and seals for a little over $200.
In rebuilding these old Huskys, I have noticed the OR model seems to come with the silver rims where the CR comes with the gold. But that may not be an exact science.
