I was a bit surprised to see George hanging out on the internet, now he has a website, and a paypal account!!! I think I'll go gather the family together, surely this is a sign that the end is near. All kidding aside, the site looks great. We should help populate the forum section.
Unfortunately George will learn what headaches really are. I realize he had a forum before but I've got a hunch the new forum will be more popular.
No doubt, the last forum just kinda laid there and never did anything but in recent years George has gained the recognition that he deserves at a international level. I suspect that the people that go to Georges forum will be there more for technical assitance and advice rather than just to share a love of the brand. Just like Cafe Husky and TT are slightly different, I imagine that Uptite's forum will draw a bit of a different crowd but with many familiar faces popping in to help out.
It great the new site is up but it doesn't seem fully oprational yet.Guess a guy on SMJ went to order a heat shield & had probems Just checked the website again, I should have looked closer, it's still in the testing stage.
I wish you wouldn't do that. You know how easily I give in to paranoid delusions. Posts like this make me feel I've been left out of the loop which can only mean one thing, THERE'S A CONSPIRACY A FOOT. Excuse me now while I go check to see if those guys in the black sedan are parked down at the end of my street again.
This is good to see. I learned of George pretty quick after joining the Husky fold and it was a bit difficult checking things out with him not having a real working site. I guess he's old school. Maybe the end is near.
It is a trick as this site is undoubtedley link to a U.S.M.C. recruiting database and George knows the Marines are looking for a few good men and what better source fior that than Husky riders. You will alll be getting callls soon and find yourselves hot and sandy but doing a noble deed. Joe
I still think he LIKES doing business over the phone or better yet, in person and in cash or check. I don't think PayPal is a done deal yet although the site seems to be going in that direction. It's good to see all the parts online but I think he could end up with just a showroom on the net and still do business COD and on the phone. He's not a giant fan of the world of credit cards. I took some pics of some of the parts he sells with a few more to go like the carb vents and maybe some pics on a bike. http://gallery.me.com/glangston1#100016
To George and the whole UpTite crew, nice work, glad to see you flying the colors out on the web. My 1986 510TX had UpTite aftermarket parts on her as does my 08 TXC450. Man that is a long life span of Husky parts service and dedication to the marque. Thanks R
A heck of a sales job by someone to commit George to such a website. Hopefully it's maintenance doesn't push george over the edge to the point that he destroys the entire world wide web.
