Today at Glen Helan they held the 2 Stroke world finals .Bobbie Garrison was there to defend his # 1 plate from last year on a Zip Ty Husky 300 the same bike he won on last year .Moto 1 was great and saw Bobbie run up front to finish 2 nd. Moto 2 was even better with Bobbie on the Husky getting the hole shot and leading for a few laps only to stall it in a turn and get passed. Then a few laps later made a mistake and went from 2nd to 5th in the blink of a eye.But never to give up Bobbie make up some great time and pass all but the leader to finish 2nd again .Also on a Zip Ty Husky 300 was Factory rider Jamie Lanza who also had a great race to finish 5th in both motos As for the rest of the field there was only 1 KTM in the pro race and maybe about 3 or 4 KTMs in all the other classes .I saw no real Factory present other then Husky . I went to support Husky and my hope for Husky to keep making 2 stokes like a new 250/300 I did practice on my CR 125 but soon found out that with all the big hills the 250 would be a better choice .So i broke out the 250 all decked out in full desert trim big tank, and all .Had a great time racing against some really fast ex pro motocross guys and was happy i went .Funny think about us Desert Racers we will race any thing desert, motocross, enduros, does not matter as long as it is dirt. Next weeken it is up to Utha for round 5 of the National Hare and Hound where one again there will be 2 more Zip Ty Factory Husky there . Husky has had some really good finishes in all types of races so far this year and things are looking better all the time . Now we just need more of you Husky riders to come join the fun at the races
word was the battle was the best for the P2 slot with a strong YZ presence From P1s Austin Stroupe and the big battle with "old guys" Ryan Hughes on his YZ144 vs Dr D (King of GH Doug Dubach) on YZ250 with Bobby G on the WR/CR300. Hope to see some MXA video from this one. Great fun, Great job John K! Glen Helen is soooo epic. PS see how good the 144 size is with Ryno blasting the "little" beast around the course. Jessica Patterson was there on her matching YZ144 as well, was there a womans class or did she beat up on some guys? Anyone?
