Anyone know if factory acc. hand guards retain the bar end weights?
Just want them for looks and some wind protection.
Call me weird if you like, but when ever possable I like to use OEM stuff.

From what I remember they do. I like them even if they are a little over priced.

Yes, the bar end weights are retained. Here are a couple of photos from my bike so you can see what's what with the factory hand guards.
My dealer fitted these for me, but I do recall that when he pulled the box off his shelf, it was marked with a BMW part number. I believe that these are the same part that BMW have for the G650GS. It might be worth comparing prices because one might be cheaper than the other for the same item.

Here's one On Ebay. I believe it is identical. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Genuine...rtao-/371040741984?fits=Make:BMW|Model:G650GS

You may want to try the hand guards made by Barkbuster specifically for our bikes. Those are what I have and they come with new bar end weights. The guards are extremely solid. I've been down a few times and they held up great.
