Husky Radiator TE510 sprung a leak !!

Hi There

I live in Melbourne Australia.. and my Husky Te510 radiator seems to have sprung a leak.. Any suggestions where to get it tested / checked in South Eastern Melbourne ( Caulfield area?? )

Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Depending on the leak size, I put epoxy stuff on my leaks ... Costs a dollar or 2 ... Down under, double the cost maybe on this method.

And there are different types of stuff that might hold better ...Still epoxy though.


Not sure if this is the same stuff on my radiator, but this stuff goes a long ways sometime. It was endorsed by a couple Aussie riders I met over here ... He was telling that when you are in the outbacks, you gotta fix your own bike on the spot it died.

This is another area where I think my 2t kicks the 4t bikes ... I've ran my 2t low low of water and it still brought me home with no real issues other that adding water along the way ...Not sure how the 4t bike would react in the same case.

crappy alexon rads-they just split! only cost about $50 to solder over from a radiator joint or do like ray ray said or solder yourself(had both sides of my wr300 go within a week of each other!). depending where it is on the rad theyll just seal off that core/passage. havent had any dramas on mine since or overheating issues. toyo make a better replacement radiator that came on the newer model huskys of the last few years but alot more exy than a repair!

I believe that Mylers makes a reasonably priced replacement for the TE510 about $150 from Rockey Mountain ATV/Motorcycle that appears to be hand welded aluminum and looks stronger than the stock ones, I haven't used one although a friend with a TE450 is on a 2 week ride and he just installed one of the Mylers units before he left we'll see how he made out when he comes back. I'm not sure but I think Fluidyne may also make one if the fix doesn't work .

Guys had Huskies for ever always put on red guards, never had a leak

my 300 had guards on before it ever got ridden but they both still split straight down the seams/cores. heat expansion/contraction maybe, vibration? either way both within a week of each other gave me the s%#ts
