Husky Returns For Carole Nash Motorcycle and Scooter Show

    NEWS Thursday 03rd September 2009

Legendary off-road brand Husqvarna returns to the NEC Show after a twelve year absence, to showcase its on and off-road 2010 range, at the Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show.
The Italian company, which is the world’s oldest surviving motorcycle manufacturer, will have the first UK unveiling of four new models, as well as displaying its current range of high-end MX, Enduro, Supermoto and Trail machines.

Husqvarna believes the time is right to return to the Show after seeing the increased level of commitment to the off road industry. With a growing range of street bikes, Husqvarna is excited to be able to showcase its full product range at the UK’s largest all encompassing motorcycle show.

The new Off Road Zone, located in the NEC’s largest Hall, Hall 5, will be supported by the official manufacturers and their off road race teams. Showcasing the best hardware and race kit from some of the biggest names in off road, Hall 5 also plays host to two rounds of The Future West ACU British Supercross Championship, in the largest arena UK Supercross has ever seen.

Mike Carter, Managing Director of Husky Sport commented, “We are extremely pleased to be able to bring Husqvarna back to the NEC after an extended absence. The BMW ownership of the brand has given us the opportunity to relaunch Husqvarna in the UK and exhibiting at the Carole Nash NEC Bike Show will give visitors the opportunity to see just how advanced our machinery has become in recent years.”

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions said, “To be able to announce the return of such a high profile off road brand at the very early stages of our launch, underlines the potential massive, positive impact the off road zone will have. Supercross, alongside our exclusive indoor Off Road Experience, offers a totally new dimension of off road Show and places off road riding on a platform it deserves”.

Already planning to go anyway so that's a bonus - well done Husky Sport!

BTW, anyone planning to have a go at the Yamaha off-road experience: if it's like last year you'll need to be waiting in line before the show opens. We got there about 15 minutes later only to find that all the places for the day were already taken (you can't book in advance either). When I asked how many places had been available the girl said something stupid like 20. I said, "No I meant for the whole day". She said "that is for the whole day." They pointedly did not mention that in the publicity material. The riding's indoors this year (in the supercross arena) and "more" places will be available (so 21 perhaps?).

Also for UK fans, don't forget the Dirt Bike show before then (5th-8th November at Stoneleigh Park). Not sure if there will be a Husky presence but worth a day out anyway. There were some good deals on clothing, tools etc. last year. http://www.dirtbikeshow.co.uk
