Congrats to Max Nagl and Husky! http://www.cyclenews.com/696/31610/Racing-Article/MXGP--Perfect-Night-For-Max-Nagl.aspx
He lead all 36 laps ... Sends shutters down your back ... We learnt a handful of things about Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Max Nagl tonight. Firstly, he can start. The German pulled off two very impressive Fox Holeshots, which has given him the early advantage in the race towards the 10,000 Fox Holeshot purse. Secondly, he’s fit, fast and fierce – he led ALL thirty-six laps even despite the immense pressure from previous MXGP of Qatar winner Clement Desalle in race one. Thirdly, he is and will be a solid part of Husqvarna’s re-rise to FIM Motocross World Championship glory. And lastly, he is very humble, admitting he even surprised himself tonight. -- #12 - Terry Bradshaw wore that number.
Another view that might not last but Husky is pulling the KTM FIM crew along.. ... SP, well SP is sipping the good stuff with his feet up most likely ... 2015 MXGP Qatar Overall Results 1. did you se RVs 1st moto start fallowed by a crash fallowed by a 9th those Euros might wind up in world of hurt
Max is gnarley, he was out for a while a couple years ago with bad back injury. Its a long season, now add Max to the list Tony, Desalle, Paulin, RV and others Im sure that win GPs and win the championship.
Wow! Not at all how I thought the opener would go. I thought a top 5 for Villopoto was an absolute given. No doubt about it. A good chance of a top 3. With an outside chance of a win if things went his way. Never did I think about him struggling to make top 10. Man, Nagl was on it! Threw down a 1:49.999 the fastest lap of the day in the second moto. Those Husky's sure are fast. I wish I could say that without the thought of an orange frowny face popping into my mind.
All brand new, lots of sand, at night, and knows no one. Kinda what I expected as he is way out of his element. And like Dungy he seems to spool up as the series goes on. We will see.
have you seen the start he got and then the crash in moto 1 then i guess he cleaned the brake peddle off of it something in moto2 i'd say with trouble like that and being the new guy half world away from home and leaving with a 7th
Troof! I watched it last night. RV did seem a lot like an island out there. It was kind of odd. As for Mad Max; he looked over his shoulder, waved good-bye and was never seen again.
Awesome win for Husky. Awesome that they have the financial backing to make all the big stages. Awesome that Max beat Gautier and HRC Honda (I like Paulin, just like seeing someone who loses their job stick it in their x-employer's face). Rv will be just fine. He will gain comfort and adjust. He did pretty well despite some pretty challenging problems and jitters/nerves, at least he has the balls to take on the world. Man if I was Jose Butron I'd be watching my back, he's got some coming to him.
