I just bought a new 2012 Husky TE511. I was issued a small owners manual and a USB drive that Has the detailed manual in it. I'm a Mac guy not a PC guy and when I inserted it in my Mac nothing was readable. I told the dealership but they didn't have much to offer other than erasing and reloading the contents. I would think Husqvarna (and BMW) would offer Mac version. Anyone else have this problem? Any resolution?
I found this from a 2004 post, it may or may not help, but it could give you some clues, maybe a friend with a PC could copy down the stick contetnts, reformat the stick and re-apply the PDFs to the stick "Macs can only read NTFS - that's because Microsoft does not disclose the exact specifications of NTFS. Linux, Zeta and other operating systems aren't able to write NTFS, either - only Linux for x86 PCs can do it by using the Windows NTFS driver - and that's obviously only possible if you also have a copy of Windows. The 40 GB hard drive is probably formatted with NTFS, so the Mac cannot write to it. Reformat it with FAT32 (on the Mac with Disk Utility - FAT32 is called MS-DOS here - or on Windows using Windows Explorer) and it will work on Mac and PC. The memory stick will also work on Mac and PC if formatted as FAT32. Almost all memory sticks are preformatted as FAT32, so they work out of the box with both systems."
Husky, I'm not sure what's on the stick, but for our 2012 TXC250 nothing more than an owners manual that did not do much good. The link below does have your bike and there are parts and shop manuals I believe. Doesn't answer your question, but 'some' resolution...Good Luck! http://www.husqvarnafactory.nl/pdf/2012.htm
I had the same problem with my mac, but couldn't read it on my PC either. So i'll just erase the dang thing & put copies of what I need on it.
Got the stick with my new 630 too. No probs getting it on my MAC. Can´t think why it doen´t workon yours.
The USB sticks should be MAC compatible but we do see a fair few which are unreadable on either platform. The item of real use on there is the full owners manual which your dealer should be able to copy on to another stick or reformat that one to use. Dave
Unless you have a problem locating the seat etc then I think you are not missing out on much but not having the owners manual ( I found the owners manual useless). Both the owners and workshop manuals can be found online in .pdf
