• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

husqvarna 2014 first victory (Sweden Gotland )

The storied marque continues its offroad podium dominance once again.

E2 bike, FE350 or 450?

we are definitely still in the midst of the French enduro rider and team era.

...I gotta say...and you all know this was coming....I am not enthusiastic about the win.Of course the customer who came by earlier said this -"it says Husky on the side but it's still a ktm/berg" ,just pretty well sums it up...hmmm:(

E2 bike, FE350 or 450?

Robertaccio ; you need to "click into KTM mode", then you'll have no trouble identifying the engine used - forget Husky 'thinking'.

It's the single cam engine - 450 ( though, it could be any size they chose to make it) .

I very much await the next few years, despite my cynicism that I show, just at this moment. I / We, know it's a logical transition - badge engineering, but with some of the BS quotes from a few of the 'higher upperers' at KTM such along the lines that it will be a totally different bike, cynicism / kicking them in the goolies for coming out with such corporate speak is fairly deserved.

Let's see what this "Prototype" is, at EICMA, shall we? A genuine Prototype, would be bloody fantastic - and not the redbadged / modified 690 so many suspect is coming. Me, I'm very much hoping for the former.

Orso,
I still cant tell the motor from the fotos, is it visually different with all the plastic in place? So the 350s are DOHC and the 450 is SOHC? The SX (FC now) models the same? You are right I need a KatoBergHusky re-education for the 4T lines.

OK Ima educated.. 250/350 cam drive on rhs behind exhaust pipe, views as a flat surface. 450/501 kinda knobby on that side.got it easy to spot now

Me Toooooo never heard anyone complain when Husky won with Cagiva or BMW motors in :applause:

..I'm not gonna try to explain to you or anyone else about the differences...it's not worth my time or yours...some people just don't know the processes that Husqvarna has gone thru and what the true heartfelt reasons are ,as well, that makes this merger a slap in the face.Enjoy your "new" ktm/husky...I am not...done
