• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna EWC news?

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Does anyone know the line up to either the official Husqvarna EWC team or Azzalin CH Racing?

I just got notified that Matt Phillips has signed with the Australian Motorex KTM team and will contest the EWC with the Farioli KTM team.

Kinda peeved that Husqvarna's only currently recognised World Champion abet Junior, couldn't move to the top ranks as factory Husqvarna rider????

Not sure of EWC or CH teams, however, I expect Husky Australia to announce a team soon now that the distribution is sorted. I know of one gun mx kid already signed...
There'll be huskys on mx podiums in Australia next season.

Sounds like CH racing is being paid to sit at home this year. They are still under contract for the 2014 race season.

Lets hope they start another team in 15.

Just read that on Enduro21, if that is confirmed then l think it's very disrespectful to pull the Husqvarna sponsorship from the one team that has supported this make for over 20 years and helped the factory develop their bikes over that time.

The new Bel Ray EWC team will be good but please...Jamie McCanney ahead of Matt Phillips?

Anyway, Husqvarna's loss will be Sherco's gain.

The KTM pull away from Azzalin makes biz sense to me. They want a change in the culture of their new team. Robert (Dad) and son Fab have been a Cagiva/Husky pillar with Their Dakar and world enduro successes. I hope CH Racing has become S racing and beats the white husky guys, even if I do ride a white husky in the end,

As I've said before... CH Racing has been the unintentional Farm Team for Faroli KTM for years. Fabrizio Azzalin has a great eye for inexpensive, upcoming talent. He turns them into World caliber riders and Fabio Faroli buys them! Not to say KTM doesn't develop, a lot of young KTM riders. Glad to see CH Racing, will still be in the EWC paddock!

Chilly White's TBT post on the 2002 Czech ISDE, got me thinking about another great CH Racing Alumnus and KTM Faroli rider..... Samuli Aro! 2002 WEC 250 2T Champion, 2002 ISDE 250 2T Class Winner and Member of the 1st place Finnish Trophy Team.... On a Husky WR250.

That is great news. If the Sherco guys don't screw up, they could pick up a lot of ex-pat Husky riders.

I was all jacked up to get a new TE250 but the Sherco 250 2T could possibly end up in my garage.

This is Beta and Sherco's dream come true lol
I really wonder how many Husky riders will swap to them. There doesn't seem to be anyone in the middle, it's either a yes or no unless there are some major changes in the next couple years.
