Don't think this is gonna fly but I'll try it once at least once ...

This rookie rider, JA21 was almost flawless on a 450 bike and a Husky to boot ... His rookie peers did not finish in the top ten? That's a big spread between riders ...

JA21 trains with KR94 who trained with RV2? Sort of the reverse of 'if you lay down with dogs you get up flees' ... Someone here has a good attitude at least on how to train.

To me at least, nobody wins championships (today) unless they can come from off the pace and pass riders as needed to get to the top finishing places of any race. Lots of guys can win a race with a holeshot or a good start with very few riders to get past to get to the front. But if you gotta have the holeshot to win, you might run dry out there somewhere.

Here is a few shots that show how JA21 got into 4th place position at the start of the race ...

That's him on the inside just crossing the holeshot line. ~11th place.

He's still on the inside ... maybe 7th place? This is the start of his move forward. It just turns into a cluster on the outside lines.

He's on the ground and tied for 4th?

He's in the clear now and running 4th.

The rider (in all these pics) in all yellow in front of him is KR94 ...

Jason passes AS29 (who looked great on his newer model ktm) and the #800 rider(who finally whipped cr22 :() for his second place finish in his first ama 450 SX race on a Husky. Past champions have not all fared so well in their rookie races.

Congratulations JA21 and maybe keep your head down and ears closed to the outsiders and continue to just train and listen to those on your side. I see good things for this young man going forward.

Here's the lap times and finishes. Only 3 riders in the 55 second range with JA21 sitting just outside that high-water mark at 56.2. These numbers say he is legit. But we gotta race more.

There are 16 more races here before the MX season ... RV2 says have fun ...

He looked very good on the 450. Roczen was rolling on that yellow bike too! Had the feeling he was on cruise control, very smooth. Now my racer Dungy looked like he was on a bike without suspension and doing all he could do to hang on to it. Is he running my 4cS . Just hope they all stay healthy.

Jason is impressive. For some reason he is never on my radar until the racing starts and then "oh yeah, that Jason kid..." Looks like it is going to be a fun year. It does kind of look right now that Roczen is going to be really hard to deal with. He made it look really EZ. We need Tomac to get good starts and not crash.

Man, look at all those local kids! Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Murrieta - sweet! They did get Peick's hometown wrong, however. He is from Wild-Omar. Played HS Football there.

homes of record/ current residence. not always indicators of where they grew up. just for one example Justin Brayton Murrieta Ca----Fort Dodge, Iowa, USA is really his hometown. many move to socal for year round training and to be close to all the factory, product and sponsor offices and the hub of US MX SoCal.

Totally aware. Just like seeing it. RV's folks still have the house near Paloma HS in Menifee/Sun City. Again, just like seeing it.

At least Peick, Weisbruch and Canada are legit locals - Wildomar, Temecula and Menifee.
