Good day, I can't figure out rpm readings on my motorcycle dash board. There is vertical and horizontal bars. In manual it is said that on dash board is a red light indicator - "“MAX ENGINE r.p.m.” warning light (the warning light comes on after that the vertical and horizontal “LED” indicators have completed their stroke: 8250 r.p.m. approx." I see that there is 8 vertical bars and 10 horizontal. As I understand if vertical bars are all 8 filled it is 8000 rpm. If horizontal lines get filled for example 2, then it is 8200. Is that correct? Can I safely drive on speeds when this red light is on aprox. 130 km/h or 93 miles/h?
If you press the button on the dash.. you can cycle to an RPM reading where the bottom row of 0's are. 130km/h and having the red light on, sounds like your gearing is really low... or the red warning light it set to a low value like 6,000 RPM or something.
yeah, the factory setting for the light is around 6200 rpm. if you toggle through the trip functions it shows the actual engine rpm's.
I did toggle menu and one rpm bar is 500. If full vertical bar is filled it is only 4000 rpm. My light goes on aprox. 6000 rpm. Thx for response!
with the engine off, but the key on you can toggle through and reset the light to come on at the desired rpm.
