Just received my Husky welcome package from Husqvarna USA's Jon-Erik B
I am impressed by the level of attention they are promoting with the brand.

Something about Robert and Jon-Eriks package ! More detail would have been helpful to avoid questions.

Just got a book sized box in the mail opened it and its a letter from Husky US pres, with a small book all about the Swede Husky thing history connection etc and a stainless steel Husky keychain .

HIS-Story is always written by the victors........Italian Husky period from 1987 up until the Peirer Ind. take over has been expunged from the New Husky HIS-story books.
The Varese team brought a bunch of world championships to add to the Brands laurels. Its a little weird and somewhat disrespectful....and the "Pasta Bike" comment is flat out uncool.
Anyway I have a new Husky. It has reached back to its Swede roots only in its 1980s color scheme. It is a KTM in Husky clothes even with the Swede teams plastic subframe tech added. And yes it is a great bike with a storied brand name.

What??? "Pasta Bike". What a freaking loser company.

I'd be happy to have more "pasta".

I got that too I think. It was a magazine type booklet. It went in the trash yesterday.

What flavor was the KoolAid packet that came with yours? Mmmm pasta! So Swedish meatballs, those are good too. And...the food reference for the new Husky?

When I hear Italian husky my wallet shutters on the money I lost on my '98 & '99 huskys do to poor workmanship. I thought my Italian cousins could do better.
My '99 felt like I was testing a prototype giving ferrachi feedback. The shifter shoe guide was out of whack. On my very first off road ride with the te610e I knew it was a mistake. Enough said.

Don't get me wrong I liked my Italian huskys but they had been released before any tests were done. My te610e was very fast. My 250wr was a red light racer she never lost.

I got a keychain, coffee mug, hat, husky googles and catalogs with my red 2013 husky.
    Sherco threw in a pop-up 10" x 10" tent/gazebo with the blue bike.

    Useful free stuff is cool.

It aint free youve paid for it when you bought the bike.
Why do you think they cost so much?
Here in uk you can buy a new dacia for 7k you could just get a new te 300 for that with a fiver spare.
    Whats that about?
Mind you i dont know what dacia do in the way of welcome packs.

Its not free and they did not have to send it either unless it is specifically written somewhere in the sales deal. It's a welcome package ...Get it? I like the welcome word in most cases. This kind of customer service is important to many ... And we all know down the road a few miles the importance of things can change with a single breakdown.

No way, that's preposterous! How could they do that!? ;)

I got a "free" hat at the Sherco demo day a week before visiting the dealer. Definitely the most expensive free hat I've ever been given.

    Merry Christmas all

Its not only disrespectful it sticks the finger up at all current husky enthusiasts and says you don't exist, we could care less about you, good luck on parts... by. Seems like a major marketing snafu. Those that are on the fence watching this but loved the Pasta bikes were just turned away at the door with a big FU. Maybe thats the plan, they don't want anything to do with the pasta people. I just got the Husqvarna Journal 2014, zero pix of italian huskys other than my 02 CR250 picture and quote which they ran last time too. I find it really weird they run my bike picture and my full name and it is the only one in the whole mag. Kinda creeps me out but figure it must just be some sort of odd coincidence. They are a great company but have become very big and are acting like comcast. Sure not feeling the love to make the transition from my pasta bikes.

We are just going to hash this out.... over and over again. Am I glad we didn't have the internet in 1988.... you bet! I can still talk to people today, that will get palpably angry, over the Cagiva purchase of Husqvarna Motorcycles from Electrolux. In that case, I guess I'll just be prepared to live my life out, listening to discontent from many people about this. Ride your Huskys of all vintages and be merry, when you can!
