I dropped my bike doing a low speed turn last night. Nothing tragic. Just *whump* came down on her left side. No damage to the bike other than the clutch lever that snapped in half. I'm wondering if the Husqvarna-provided hand guard was supposed to prevent that -- or if it's merely for keeping my hands safe from tree limbs and wind, etc. Does Touratech or someone else make a hand guard that also protects the clutch and brake levers in the event of a tip-over? Also wondering if ordering a new clutch lever through the dealer is the best way to go. Or do I order direct from Husqvarna. Thoughts? Thanks.
Same as the BMW G650GS, I believe the G650X Challenge. Ordering those will prove to be a lot quicker and you will probably find aftermarket as well. If the hand guards you have are not like bark busters, closed end so to speak, nothing will save the levers.
X2 and The Cycra Pro Bend protectors swoop down and protect the levers - and are really comfortable for guys with big hands...or winter gloves.
