Hi all, got finished modding the Husky tonight, with my fellow squid squad member Tye. Added the Leo Vince X3 pipe and I modded the O2 sensor. I used the Suzuki TL diagnostic switch I have had for many years, as it is the same connector as the O2 sensor. Added a 2.2 kohm resistor. Made the thing quite peppy, it is noisy, here are the pics. Click for big un's PCIII usb and Corbin seat are "in the mail". Still looking for a good solution to a gas tank vent for when I do stoppies, a little messy right now.

Very nice. Is that the $$$ big cash pipe and can?
  3. It is indeed.

I just bought the full system, too, but I got a smokin' deal otherwise I would have simply bought the slip-on can.
  4. Hey Doug,

Did LV include the bolt that goes through the mounting tab underneath the pipe and secures the right side footpeg and subframe?

I'm asking because I just installed my DirtBagz frame and the bolt they installed looks like something from the SAE section of HomeDepot. I'm hoping LV includes a slick SS metric bolt so I can replace it.

They include a slightly longer than stock bolt for the left subframe/buddy peg bolt, mine is a Home Depot looking one because I took off the buddy pegs and added it.
  6. Thanks, brother  .

Very nice! Watch out for the bare section of pipe between the mid pipe guard and the muffler, i burned my boot on that section and had to use 2 hose clamps to keep my boot off the pipe. Great power gains from this exhaust system. I really wish Leo Vince would have put a longer gaurd on the mid pipe.

Yep, I am going to put some header wrap on there, just looking for ideas about how much. I already had to scrub "sneaker" off of it from the around the block test ride. I am sure my beautiful Sidi boots would melt also, so I will wrap that puppy.

Yeah, I got the whole system out the door for $780.00 or so, beat what I could find on the internet for the full system.

    Hey, man......I'm a wrapper!

Doug, you'll find everything you need above, in the DEI section at Summit. I got the black (actually gray) header wrap, the 8" stainless wire ties, and the black hi-temp silicone spray. The best way to get a good looking wrap is to have the midpipe off the bike. Put the roll of header wrap in a bucket of warm water (wear some old clothes - it's messy), secure the start with a needle-nose locking pliers - and wind it on by turning the pipe.

I tried it with the wrap dry, and it just isn't pliable enough - I couldn't get a uniform looking job. When it's wet, the wrap is much more malleable - and easier to make corrections for the turns/angles in the pipe. I was also able to wrap right over the Lambda sensor plug - and it came out looking pretty good.

After it dried for a day, I shot the whole length (and my front heat shield) with the hi-temp silicone spray.

Thanks Fred, I have some wrap and ties and I was waffling on the spray. Does it keep the heat from melting your boots? I am just going to wrap where my boot hits so I can keep it on the boot vice on the pipe.

My local Kaw/Suzuki/Polaris/Yammie Watercraft Dealer. Been buying from him for years. They do online stuff, google Granbury Motorsports tell them Doug sent you, might make you a deal. 817-573-2851, also they are motivated to sell Kawasakis it seems.

Doug, I've had no problems melting/burning boots or pants........but the hottest day I've ridden so far has been only 75 degrees. When the ambient temperature gets to be over ninety - that could be a different story.
  15. Too late.... I already ordered my full system for the same price you got yours  .

You should have the pipe ceramic coated inside and out; this will drop the temperature by 50%. It comes in various colors and looks the bomb, also much easier to keep clean.

How is the bike running? Would like to put different exhaust on bike and am torn between Husky Special Parts Ti duals or the LV Ti single that you installed. The Husky duals come with new computer box and wonder how it is working out for you with just the power up and the LV single. Sure looks a heap better than the stock cans

^ do you have a link to the dual set up? And is it for a 610?
