I MadDogged my rear fender/license plate.

    Yes, many.
    3/4" x 1/8" x 7" aluminum bar stock mounted in the holes where the reflector was. Trimmed the lower part of the fender. Bent license plate to match fender contour.

    The turn signals themselves act as pendulums and have cracked tails on their own, even with mild riding.

    Cut the tail off from the key hole back... trust me.

    The problem there is you're only using your indicators one at a time, and letting it flash on and off, which is creating the pendulum motion. Using the hazard light function instead should keep things in balance. :)

    This is the reason why I have changed my blinker fluid to 0W full synthetic.
