Anybody got any numbers for the 610? Just got my ibeat. Bike has stock pipe with hole blasted in cat so it flows a bit better. Power up kit installed. 1300 miles on bike. Have not hooked up ibeat yet. Just installed a Kush sprocket 47t to lower gearing a bit. And removed stock 15t sprocket to install a new after market 15t to tighten up fit on trans shaft but new sprocket will not install properly splines are too tight. I'll call Halls to get them to replace it. I believe its not made correctly. I know I need to set up TPS but could use help with fuel settings. Its pinging a bit at low rpm under load. Dont know if fuel setting will help this. Have not tried cam2 yet but I am using premium. Thanks for your input.
What a time ! First front sprocket would not go on, than 3 hour of trying to get usb driver to load. Gave up at 12pm. Two computers one xp and one visa, no go. My head hert. So in the am I go back to work on sprocket. Found it was on a taper getting smaller on outside by .010. Filed a bit than heated the sprocket and the mother went on. What a pain. But it is tight as a bugs ass now. Than back to the usb driver install. Tried the xp unit again and the thing loaded this time. Ibeat now has a port so it works now. My blood presure lower now.
Sorry dude, completely irrelevant, but what is going on in your avatar? Looks like a moped rider getting fisted with a GM carrot??
Well got sprockets and chain intalled. Pluged in ibeat to set TPS and WOT. Did 0 the TPS but not sure what kind of numbers it needs. My mv reading was 167mv and WOT was 104.7%. Most post on forum have these numbers at about 1000mv and 102.2. But all the numbers I have seen have been for the 250, 410 and 510. Can anybody help ? Also have seen half of the threads say your that when adjusting fuel as you go up with the % number it give more fuel and the other half say it gos down. Rode it yesterday and think some of the low rpm pinging is gone. and bike felt great with the lowered gearing. But I need some help on setting up fb1 and the TPS . Any help would be great. Thanks
Update..... Have TPS mv at 1025 and WOT at 100.9% FB1 is still at 105% this is where it came set at from new. My air bypass is at four turns from seated. Bike is at 1750 to 1800 idle. Turning bypass out anymore changes nothing. Still have stock pipe on with hole in cat that I made. I beleave if I lower WOT it will just raise my idle. Turning the thottle stop screw in will just open thottle plate more. Next move will to be lowering the FB1. I was thinking to go to 102 and see if it lower idle so I can turn by pass in a bit. I think the bike is running good but still like to try some diffrent setting. Also the 47 tooth kush sprocket is great. Can use six'd gear now with out lugging the motor and bringing my fat ass up to speed is much ezer now. I think that was the best change so far that I have done.
Those figures are a lot closer to the DOHC bikes now. You're right, there hasn't been much posted (that I've noticed) about FI adjustments for 610's. Your idle sounds about right. The higher % numbers should mean more fuel, especially as these are lean from the factory for emissions. The turns out on the bypass is normally around 2 1/2 to 3 but .... You should get a pipe for that.
Got around to changing FB1. Installed 02 sensor and set it FB1 at 100%. Checked TPS and WOT and both were just were I left them. Took it out for a spin and think that its running better than when it was at 105%. Still would like to get idle lower. Some time its up at 1900rpm. Bypass is still at four turns out. But over all I am very happy with it. Now I want to ride it more than my other bikes.
I remember on my 08 when the fuelling had been sorted my idle was too high and simply needed the idle screw turned down by the mechanic after he got back from the road test on the bike. Have you tried turning down the idle?? Obviously not too low as it'll be a bitch too start but lower..
Are the '08's fuel injected? I installed the powerup kit yesterday on my '09 (with stock muffler) and the idle went from 1600 to 1900. The idle adjuster did nothing. I've searched the forums, and it looks like a common occurence. The only person I found who had solved it had to bring it to the dealer. Only problem for me is the closest dealer is 10 hours away so mine will stay at 1900 rpm.
Navaho6 do have the ibeat set up ? Mine needed the TPS and WOT adjusted and you need this to do it. How many turns out are you ? The bypass screw ( idle adjustment ) on mine stopped lowering it at four turns. I might play with throtle stop to lower idle. But this will also screw up my TPS and WOT settings. But cant find any number on what they should be so it dont mater much.
Ghegunk, No I don't have ibeat. I can live with 1900 rpm idle but I'd like to get rid of the engine pinging. I turned the idle screw CC 1 turn and nothing changed.
Navaho6 You got TE or SM. With the dealer 10 hours away you need a ibeat. Its the only way to set TPS and WOT. Mine was pinging also and setting them helped alot. But i also went up two teeth in the rear. I dont know about the TE but the SM are geared to hi. You need to keep the motor rpm up hi. The 610 dont like lugging. I could not use six'd gear below 55.
About 300$ Just google it. There only one guy selling them. I think dealers want 700$. You can also go the power commander route. Do your research on cafe. With our ECU you can only do FB1 and TPS and WOT with ibeat. Good luck. Remember there is no info on the 610 - that I could find. And the dealer that I got mine at was a joke. Not letting them touch my bike.
Funny thing happened Sunday. The bike adjusted it's idle down to 1100 suddenly.........in the middle of a ride. Apparently the idle adjustment is a delayed reaction. I got it back up to 1600 after a frustrating 30 minutes. Who knows where it will idle next time I ride.
You got somthing going on. It wants to be around 1700. But should not drop like the that. That low your close to the decomp droping in. You need to get it set up on ibeat.
