I'm looking for the kick start idler gear bearing size. Easy question? Looking to replace mine before any issues arise.

Keep an eye on the surface that needle bearing rides on inside that gear. I think I did a thread where I fit a needle shell bearing into that gear. If they are still reasonably priced by part number chances are I would just do that. As time has progressed it seems the parts sheets often have text in the description that indicates attributes of the bearings. There is another one on the kick starter gear.

Thanks fran...k. I could not find the dimensions for the bearings via a search. I figured to replace these at the same time as the clutch plates. Going from aluminum to steel drive plates. I'll look some more. I'll be sure to check both surfaces for any signs of wear or galling. I suppose I'm asking a lot but it would sure be nice to have a sticky of the bearing, seal and bolt dimensions handy.

Two top makers are IKO japan made and INA euro made. IKO s have a part number that starts with KT 16 mm x 20mm x 10 MM
The INA just has K 16 x 20 x 10. Don't always have the mms in either part number.

Changing often just can't hurt. They take the stress of Kick starting. I find the outside needle cage cracked all the time on these. On different bikes
