Gonna stop at the husky dealer- anything else moto-related that I should be doing to keep me out of the bars every night? Planning on a good hike this weekend but there's a lot of time between now and then! (Or at least suggest which bars I should spend all of my time in) Haha... Thanks!
Say hi to Justin for me over at Eurosport Asheville for me. Just picked my Terra Saturday. Ask him to let you tool around on his Strada, Great folks to deal with! Mark
Completely unrelated to Husky's but a few years ago my wife and I (from Australia, but on holidays in the USA) were riding through Asheville on hired BMW bikes (3 week cross country trip from NY to LA) and the 1200GS I was riding got a puncture in Asheville. It was a Saturday morning and when I consulted google on my phone I found that there was a BMW dealer in one direction and a bike spares shop in another direction. The spares shop was closer, and when I got there they were just opening but they had no tyre repair facilities. The nice lady there got on the phone and made a call and pretty soon i was talking to someone on the phone giving me instructions on getting to a bike repair shop down near the river in a factory complex. So rode down there and found the place and the owner put down what he was doing, and put my bike up on the hoist and repaired that tyre pronto while we had a nice chat and swapped travel stories. I'd lost a few hours so my plans to follow the BR Parkway all day were shot, but he pulled out a map and showed a couple of other routes to get down the Deals Gap. After he finished with the tyre he crossed out the price he'd previously written on the job card when we arrived $45 and changed it to $35. Then he took us out the back to his office area where he let us each choose a tshirts with his company logo on the back - no charge. I reckon he made a loss on our job, but he sure did make a great impression on us. His name was Hagen at Hagen's Cycles. If you are up the top end of town and you're nearby pop in and tell him he is a champ and he really made an impression on a couple of tourists, saved our holiday, and I always have fond memories of Asheville, regardless whatever else I hear about the place. LOL. (cue the sound of a distant banjo)
Damn, love that stuff nev! I'll try to pop by- love reminding someone of a good deed that didn't go unnoticed. I'm about a dozen vodkas into my night down at this place called the yacht club with the bartender from my hotel! Tomorrows gonna hurt. But as I like to remind myself- "I ain't no baby!"
Ask the BMW shop Eurosport Ashville about the great places to eat that are within walking distance of the store. It's a tourist area and some great places. While waiting for my Moss treatment I strolled over to a old converted train depot that's now a restaurant
Ha Trapperj were you able to get the MOSS thing done? My shop said the Moss tool was no longer available.
Yes. Wasn't a problem at all for me. But that was a coule weeks ago. I can't believe that there's no Moss available. Maybe they misplaced there password or something easy to explain. That's the only way to address tuning/idle issues as far as I know.
MOSS Computer HAS TO work if the bike is to remain serviceable any way. It is needed to 'zero' default codes and reset 'service' tag.
