I have 07 610TE the bike is rejetted and the CA emissions are removed. 1 Is it easy to bolt it on and swap back when not needed? 2 How does the fuel gauge work with 5 gal tank? Should I get a clear one to see better?
I have no idea but there are 1 or more people with that configuration on CH I believe, just keep bumping the thread.
It takes a bit of time (1 hour) to switch tanks because you have to remove and reinstall the fuel pump assembly between the tanks. it isn't hard to do though. the tank takes 3 gallons. the reserve light works when gas drops below the level of the sensor in the fuel pump assembly. due to the elongated size of the tank, i imagine that the reserve is more.
I think the above information is not for the 610. I don't know anyone with a 610 and aftermarket tank. I do know that on ADV rider there is a ton of information about 610's. If I were looking for this info, I would do a search at ADV rider, find the info and then come back here to where the "cool" kids hang out, and share the information with us. Ken
Based on the words "rejetted" and "CA" my guess would be no fuel injection (not a 2007 TE610 European E3 FI version) and therefore would not have a fuel pump. Doesn't anyone have a 2006/7 TE610 with carburetor and 5 gallon IMS tank?
