Can anyone confirm whether these bikes have an Inductive or CDI ignition. Sorry but it is still difficult for me to find these models.

Spec Sheet for my 2009 TE450 says:
Electronic, inductive discharge, with adjustable advance (digital control)
if that does anything for you... I don't know the difference really.

If this is what you are looking for.... more info from the 2009 manual:
CDI electronic (TC, TXC) inductive discharge (TE, SMR) with adjustable advance (digital control)

So it would appear EFI bikes have INDUCTIVE by with Adjustable Advance- through Digital Control....

But again I don't know the differences... :)

That does help and makes sense. CDI (Capacitive discharge Ignition) is normally seen on bikes without batteries, Inductive is more common though. Thanks for the info.
