All 2st Initial Powervalve Setup

I'm in the process of putting a powervalve back together that I did not take apart. I have a manual. I'm looking at the gear and the geared lever on the ends of the valve. I'm assuming that for inital assembly I need to line up the punch mark on the gear with the punch mark on the levered gear, correct? Then do my final measurement and setup using the procedure in the manual.
Just verifying.
