just wondering if its legal.... just wondering if I could call my buddy and tell him there is a check at mile 32 or such?
cool we just got these bluetooth/intercom deals and they have been working good....think its kinda funny dont knwo that it will really work
AMA rules are a NO GO on that topic... but between pit crews and cell phones, GPS systems and such there is alot of room for this to happen. Chow, Carl
"Nothing's illegal if you don't get caught." Quote by the guy that taught me how to drive. 'splains a lot about my record
No! You can't convey "Secret Check" information in any way to other riders. A guy leading his minute, can slam on his brakes and scream "Check!" at the top of his lungs when he rounds a corner and spots the check flags. He can't stop and call his girl friend back at the gas stop or previous reset to tell his buddies on a later minute of the check mileage. I saw this brake and scream method a few times working a check this year.
If it is AMA rules...who would not want to ride on the same minute with their buddies. also, Leave the cheating to the other sports. Its all about the trhill, challenge and the fun of the seat time! Saw the 1st guy stopping and yelling "Check" before too. He gets scored at time he slammed em on but if behind stays out of sight...makes it hard to score them. Kinda like jumping on the grenade to save your buddys. Joe
It is ama..and you draw for start minute...everyone seperate...I would just do it to help my buddy who is a c rider...
yes...farmiliar with ama enduro rules....can be upt to 4 or 5 per minute...staple per entries together or post entry together on same minute. Best way to teach is ride on my minute approach and don't pass me on the way to check ins approach. Then go like the dickens until the check out and reset. Let them try to time keep while doing so but serve as the "seeing eye dog" for them until they understand the concept. Best way to learn is to do. Kind of like a drinking game or playing poker!
I can see why some may be tempted to cheat if a lot of money was on the line i.e. NASCAR....but cheating to do better in a C class enduro??? Dude, that's lame!
Not wanting to cheat...want to totally stay within the rules....thank you very much...we use these intercoms riding all the time just was wondering if its legal...if not its no biggie...
