I by no means am making claim that this site intentionally put a major trojan virus that killed my computer..or it at least took its toll on it,but this is only the second time in 3 month span that I went to huskysport.co.au and got hit:banghead::excuseme::thumbsdown:.Since I am not computer savvy and use protection that others recommend,I hope to save some others the same pain in the ass routine I had to endure to recover from this hit.I am currently using AVG 9.0(had been using Norton when the first one hit)The virus/malware that was identified was a Trojan Horse Vundo JD.
If this is any help to anyone..good,but if someone of higher intellect can chime in to help out, that would be GREAT!

Sorry to hear about your trojans. I have never uesd AVG but used Avast with good results. I now use the free Micrsoft Security Essentianls. Anti-virus and spyware for free. Works good for me. http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

I got one a few weeks ago, my first, but I'm not sure where I got it, could have been there. I check things out there about once a month or so.

This thing is driving me crazy:confused:.I can get on the internet..its slow but I have run the virus scan 4 times,it always shows it is catching stuff but its binding up my computer.Every time I run the anti virus program ,it runs for several hours to the point of almost stopping the scan...I check the status before it finishes and it shows the items it caught ,then removes them, but if I restart a new scan more trojan notices pop up:banghead:. If I try to do online help,it stops me from getting there.Who the f.ck are these people and why can't they do spend their time elsewhere instead of screwing up peoples/business' lives?
Sorry for the rant ,just getting really pissed at this computer and the numb nuts who get a kick out of this:banghead:

Rumor is many viruses are started by those who sell virus protection and disgruntled programmers who are pissed about something. Dunno. :excuseme:

Hi, sorry to hear about you receiving a virus from the other site.

Here, at Cafe Husky, I personally open each file and look for code injections, once per week, and as well look at each image directory for php files (there should never be any in those directories). I also run a trojan scan at server level. As well, I also download the whole site to my personal home computer and use Norton 360 to scan all the files. You will be pleased to know, not one trojan has been detected here.

A note on AVG: Once in a while AVG will detect a trojan on a vB forum when none is there. That is an issue with AVG. As you have had issues with the trojan on your PC, then what AVG detected was not a false positive. I personally would not go back to that site.

That Vundo TH is a persistent one. It goes in and disables your anti-virus software but it looks like it's running normal.
Try going to the www.malwarebytes.org website and download their free malware remover. It was the only thing that got it off my computer,

I had the same problem with running the scans. It locked up before it finishes, so you can't get it out. I ended up running manual scans on different files until I found it. It could get through the smaller scans without locking up.

If you have something in your PC that you can't seem to get rid of, turn OFF system restore if it is enabled. Re-run the anti virus/spyware programs. System restore will help house the bad files away from being found. Purge it all out by disabling system restore. System restore is disabled on my computers, I won't run it.

Good advice, I know this has caught many. If you're really not convertible around computer (understanding DOS etc) and you can't get rid of it soon. Bite the bullet and take it in PDQ.

For the amount it will cost ya. It will be worth every penny.

All good advice...I tend to reformat my hard drive once or twice a year, it's not always fun, but it works. If you are savvy enough to do this, but the computer won't let you, take it to a specialist.....much like dirtbikes, "if you can't fix it yourself, take it to someone who can."
