Is the TE 630 stock chain long enough for 15/45?

After a few hours on the bike I think the stock 15/42 is just to high for me. I won't be taking it on the Autobahnen. I am thinking 15/45 sounds pretty good. The wheel seems pretty far back and so has some wiggle room. Anyone running this combo with the stock chain, is it long enough for a 45?

I went with 14/45 and it was a tight squeeze. Don't think 15/45 will fit. Why not try 14/42?

15/45 works with the stock chain.Thats what I have for gearing now...adjusters are all the way in, but good to go.

I think a smaller cs sprocket could cause more ware on the chain slider. That I don't want.
Excellent! How do you like the change?

Much better now, still comfortable at 100kph @ 4250 rpm and much much easier to deal with on the trails in the lower gears...lots of grunt.

14/42 is a good cheap way to check whether or not 15/45 is the gearing that you really want. You might want to go a tooth either way on the wheel sprocket.
