Is this normal???

I had to take my fuel pump out, because the black wire came disconnected. Then I noticed that the screen seemed to be stuffed into my pump. It is connected to something, I didn't want to pull on it to hard. I was just wondering if this is normal???

I think so. That's basically how mine looked when I pulled it out. I took the folded up end and fit it through the area under the filter.

Be sure to double zip tie around the pump to make sure the clip prongs hold it in place.....

I don't see that screen in his pics......

I was just referencing for the issue where the fuel pump can come out of the clips and rise up in the tank. But your also right........ I think I can just see part of it in the second picture but not in the others......
