Notables for this fan, club riders USA many- Fredette and Hoess of course (old guy rule) ITA Tullio Pellegrinelli, Big man Ale Botturi! Hats off to all. Trophy, Women and Juniors to all a big salute. I noticed some surname and first names are mixed up. http://fim-isde2013.com/2013-fim-is...ml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=facebook
Hi Rob! good job! here the direct link to Club Team: http://www.fim-isde2013.com/admin/imagescms/PDF/Piloti/CLUB TEAM.pdf You may find me at Isola d'Elba Team. Maybe I can post photos and videos when I'll be in Sardinia or I can open a new dedicated thread.
Massimo I know I saw your club team with Legend/Vet rider, Fabio Fasola, best of show!!!, our closest to local club team is the AMA District 37 team. Isola D'Elba is cool name for the team, I rode my father in law's Moto Guzzi 500 Falcone from Follonica to the Piombino ferry to Isola D'Elba then rode all around the island with my Toscana wife. That name is memorable for me. I have my fave US C teams with the Fred Hoess crew and the World famous for most ISDEs raced and finished Jeff Fredette. The French trophy team is.......well IMHO heads above everyone else. Pending bad luck (which does happen at the six days all the time), They will be on top with only a battle for 2nd 3 rd podium spots. I'm sure. If I was a betting man, FRA for 1, but I need more study to make my call on the others. The USA again sends a very strong riding trophy team, that's good to see.
Ciao Robertaccio, I'm very glad to read this about you, I presume there was something of Tuscany in your nick, the suffix "accio" is only used here, the most famous Robertaccio is Roberto benigni, I guess it has been a great adventure riding a Falcone with your wife along Elba roads..... In this moment I am in Elba for holydays and training with my MTB and talking with Fabio about Isde. Let me know the Names Of your friends I'll try to met them! I agree with you about nations teams, in this moment French team si a step over the others, hope in a good job of italian team. About me I will do my best, it has been just a result to be accepted. Probably the best name of out team should have been Isola d'elba geriatric team Up to Portoferraio Crossing the sea at le terme
Massimaccio say hello to club rider 614 Ryan Kudla from the D37 club team. non bevi hoha hola, stick with good drinks. ironic you mentioned Roberto Benigni, we just went to the Italian film outdoor movie festa in our little Italy and saw Johnny Stecchino last thurs. My nickname came from a former road race guy I know from Monza, we referred to each other as 'accio o ogni tanto accione. PS we hope you can post some reports and fotos
la hoha hola hon la hannuccia, Bischero! Something of you let me intend that you are not american or you have a very good teacher.... training is going ahead... a friend of mine give me this KX250F for track... pls don't take a look to the style, I'M an enduro driver...
...it will be an hard job.....time checks and special tests http://fim-isde2013.com/it/fim-isde-2013-disponibili-le-prime-specifiche-dei-percorsi-a136.html
I believe this ISDE will favor the US southwest riders. The terrain is very similar to our local rocky trails, from Baja Ca. Mex to the D37 zones and into Idaho, Az, Nev, NM and all the west states that have a dry sharp rocky trails terrain zone. I was told years ago by a former Italian trophy rider, that if he were blindfolded and placed on one of our local trails he would think he was on the Med coast in Baja de Espana. Massimo, if you see Airoh man Davide T, tell him Rob says ciao he will get a good laugh out of that circle.
Cafe crew ISDE fans. I highly recommend, checking the route chart, then google mapping the zones/towns where the route goes. Although we can't see the exact route, you can see the amazing terrain scheme and the super nice little towns and harbors that surround Olbia and the rest of the island. Its an amazing location for an ISDE.
