Simple question but one that has been bugging the carp out of me for years and now owning a 4 stroke - can you fit a road bike muffler onto a 4 stroke dirtbike?

I'm not in love with modern cannon's on a 4t bike and surely a shorty muffler would be better?

Not for a 2t muffler...for years on my roadbike's l've chopped and changed and modified mufflers to suit, some for bling and some for performance. I see all these huge cannons on a modern 4 stroke and the price of aftermarket mufflers are either a joke or as huge as the std making them crash prone.
Compare a KTM 390 Duke Akra:

Now compare from a FE 350

Really..both are a single cylinder motor and probably output the same power yet one would fit behind the side over whilst the other is still on Viagra!!
