Solid season , improving all the time. Training with Baker and Dungey must help . Keep working like that young man !!
Yeah I'm really surprised Chad Reed didn't have a better showing. He looked pretty decent in practice and qualifying. I was telling my friend, though, that when the gate drops the BS stops! During the main event or the LCQ its every man for themselves. the best lap time of the day dropped nearly a second. Anderson is definitely showing he has what it takes!
Theres basically only 3 guys with a chance to win... Dungey, KRoc and Anderson.... But these tracks suck.... AX track are 25seconds and now SX are 45.... don't make sense
In heat 1 it looked to me like Dungey backed off when he could have pushed JA high and taken the lead. RD and KR were long gone by the time JA worked his way thru the pack. Glad to see him on the podium consistently, he is steadily improving and he's already made history by being the 1st to win superx on a Husky I agree, sub 1 minute laps in superx doesn't work.
I see that as a sign of times : they make smaller tracks to save money. The main SX event in France is Paris Bercy ( though it moved to Lille two years ago ) . That is a 3 night event, out of any championships, so no real competition. In paris, in was it a small concert room, but they also rode a flat part outside to make the track longer ( the problem is you couldn't see what was happening there ... ). But it was fun. Then they moved to Lille, a big modern stadium with a roof. I thought it would be a great imporvement. Well you know what? They only used only a half stadium, splitting it with a big black curtain. What the... ? Laps were 29s if my memory serves me right. A $100 ticket for a 3 hour "show" ( freestyle , bmx, endless honda commercials on the screens... ). Aaah, you guys are lucky not to live in a third world country, once part of the world top nations, but ruined by successive dumb administrations . See that coming ?
