Nice interview ... this guy sounds like a rider that Husky needs ...

You gotta love the part where he says "I was in canada and got a call and they wanted me to test a Husky ... I rode it and was impressed "... How simple is that? :)

He is racing the 250 bikes?

I guess that I would have accepted Russell's apology and left it at that.

We've all pulled moves (while racing) that we regret later...

I'm not sure if it is that simple EPS at the top level... JT said he will not go out of his away to find this other guy and will not cut him any slack either ... Words of a champion I think ...

Husky needs riders of this caliber ... I think this young man has a future

I could be wrong... but it seems to be very easy for Russell to apologize, whether he means it or not. He ended up with the win and the points. A very competitive series, with an ever smaller pie for the Pro's.

I am a Jason Thomas fan. My thinking is this - go fast enough so that nobody can put that move on you. ;)

Nice interview ... This guy is Huskys ticket ... They need to help this young stud with his career ...

Swapping bikes during the season and while battling for #1? This is quite a move and he made it work last week ... Husky just needs riders!!!

Did you see that Husky pulling the front wheel off the ground down the starting straight-away? That was fregg' cool!

I think it's very cool that he went to Canada over the GNCC break, wins a Championship on a KTM and comes back to GNCC jumps on a Husky and rocks! Typical guy would have sucked the "Orange Kool-Aid" so hard, he'd never get on a Husky!

Right ... jumpin' around on all those bikes and staying on top and tossing the yama-hammer away at the end of the season for a Husky? Yep ...stud status ... just wonder who and why Husky offered him a ride ... and then why would he accept? This is a great story ;)

Great video and remarks .. This racing blows sx stuff away ... I gotta follow this stuff closer in the future ...

Yeah, we saw him last 2 summers at the FMSQ series. Our series is organised by a federation that is non profit, much of the people are volunteers. For some reason in April they decided to hand out championship points out only to Canadians. There goal was to try and keep the sponsorship money for the local pros...lame IMO

They never bothered to tell Thomas, KTM or even print out the new rule until mid season. Long story short everyone was pissed and the series lost a ton of prestige. I doubt we will see him again. It's a shame because he really rides like no other pro over here and that puts out a great show. Maybe more of these riders would of made the trip in the future.

It may not of had a lot for anyone outside the province, but it had some inside.

Now we are looking at a competing series starting up...

I can tell you qestion01, the last thing you want in Quebec is a split series like we have in Ontario.

Neither WEC or OOCC meant much this year. One was short too many events the other never had a promoter west of Toronto do an event so we effectively split the province east and west. Nice eh?

Just a lot of egos involved and it was not good for Racers in Ontario in general.

Hope cooler heads prevail in your province before next season.

Hard to say what will happen. There is also a big change in the direction of the fmsq as most of the directors are leaving, replaced by new ones.

I might just do the Ontario off road events next season, nice trails, no avt's on Saturdays to trash the trails... friendly... Lots of guys and there families looking to do the same.

Fmsq gets pretty heavy sometimes, 600-700 riders...all kinds of issues come up. Trails are getting too easy to make sure everyone can get through. Sherbrooke round this weekend was super technical. Most packed there gear and left after the first lap. So for sure they will cancel for next year.
