I picked up a 2011 TE630, the previous owner had installed the JD jetting Poewr Surge. But. Checking out the bike last night it appears the lambda sensor is still in and wired. I haven't had the opportunity to ride the bike yet as it's been cold here, but was wondering if there is any advantage to not installing the pu kit with the jd jettng? It still has stock exhaust and intake. I live at 3000 ft elevation and will be riding from here and up. Guess I'll find out how it rides today.
I believe the JD jetting Power Surge meant to be used along with the power up kit. I have done the resistor in the lambda plug on my 610 and looked into getting a JD tuner and i think i remember reading a thread in a forum where someone asked the same question as you. Im almost sure it is designed to run open loop with power up.

Hmmmm. Good to know. It certainly needs the throttle cables adjusted. It's also very snachy on and off throttle transitions as it is now, and I'm comming off an rxv450 aprilia which has a switch for a throttle lol. No idea what the jd is set at yet either. I'll report back when I have some time to experiment with the setup.
I'm guessing that since the fueling is still closed loop, it might try to lean out the fuel, the question is how much it will try to lean it out and if the JD can overcome it enough to make a difference, and what kind of side effects you'll have from the battle...
Looks like the word from that previous post is pu should be done in conjunction with jd. So. Where do I find the pu kit?
