250-500cc JD Programmable Ignitions

I just spotted this on ebay

It's a JD Programmable Ignition for an 07 CR250.

Something like this would be the ticket for my WR300

Anyone have any experience with these? Would the CR 250 work on a 09 WR300?

so the 07' CR250 is digital and the 09 WR is analog with varible advance?

Someone told me they stopped with the digital ignitions in the CR's in 04'. Or maybe I misheard him and that's when they started with the digi ignitions

the idea of having a dual map module is intriguing. single track mode....... fast fire road mode.

I agree. As long as it really had an effect.
I rode a newer KTM250 with dual maps and I really couldn't tell too much difference between the two, but we were in the desert and it was all WOT riding.

What would be required to rig this up?

Flywheel
Stator
Ignition Module
Coil

You just need the stator assemble and the JD box. The stock coil is the same.

Talk to Dan at MOTOXOTICA and tell him you need the same part # that he got for MOTORHEAD.

Then get the JD unit off eBay, or the stock 2001 CR ECU.
