Not sure who this announcer is but he gets a little excited and his words are a little funny here.

Say what you want to say but someone needs to get this young man under control ... Even after a race where he scored a goose-egg for points, he still has a 100 point lead in the MX2 championship. That's 2 entire races; 4 motos.

If there is a week between races, as is the case in many FIM races, he has a month to heal AND still be sitting at the top with plenty of racing left ... This ain't your Daddys' AMA racing.

I just just look at the pics and read the headlines on dirt bike riding and racing ...Then try to mimic them without hurting anything ...It's the best I can go at this time in my life.

As far as RV2 is concerned, I'd guess it is in the hands of the bean counters ... Everyone who has a piece of this $ pie is looking at how much butter was made, how much more can be made for the rest of the yr, AND of course, with all that in mind, how much butter can be made next yr ... And that's ok, that is business. It will always be business and business decisions will be made with this much business $ on the line.

Not sure how much say RV2 really has in all this other than 'my butt still hurts' but if you have watched anything on this sport and all other sports, bean-counters, A.K.A sponsors, control the action ... 100% clueless on this young man, but most all humans turn into old dogs ... We just wanna lay around and sleep, eat, and have occasional sex ... And talk about the past and how great it was back then... Nothing wrong with that ... We just arrive at old-dog-status at different times of our lives ... I'd guess I'm 2 legs short of being an old dog right now...

That entire video is pretty good ... Max at 14:20 ...

Always liked talking and listening to Europeans speaking English ... They always sound so direct and straight to the point without the sharp edge...

Hard to tell, but doesn't look like Herlings is wearing much in the way of protection :naughty: If I could go that fast and crash that hard I'd be fully armored.

Sorry to not see RV back in the mix yet, it looked like he was on his way to top 5 at least. Attrition in the MXGP class is high this year.

Herlings gives him plenty to talk about each race ...

PRO racers don't always wear alot of gear as compared us trail guys from what I've seen in the pics... Maybe they do not think they are gonna crash?

These guys are schooling me on crashing ... FIM crashes look really bad but seems the riders don't as beatup as in a SX type crash ... Like this crash below, Husky rider Aleksandr Tonkov crashes and rolls way forward and guess is not too badly beaten up ... There has been more than one SX crash when the rider hits the receiver ramp and gets all banged up ... CR22 did that just a yr or 2 bad when he clipped KR94 ...

athlete call on the gear these guys are all so physically dialed in, that when we see a wreck and you mentioned it in SX for example many of those wrecks really would killed a regular guy or at the least permantly injured

And here maybe we can see the reason Herlings.....lost it. Looks like a case of over scrubbed handlebar drag........or even a combo of losing his right foot from the peg and knocking the bar

One of the grarliest injuries I have ever seen. From some angles, like the one you posted it looks like he lost the end of his finger. Severe dislocation with the rest of the finger hanging on by just skin I heard. Can't see it in the pic, but the rest of the finger is just dangling down.

Ps. you might want to start a new thread about this latest injury and put a disclaimer in the title. Something to warn people with weak stomachs what they are gonna see. That pic is awful!!
