Don't forget to post your tuning specs here with the RM needle.

Some day will try and have this moved up to a sticky for other riders.

    Thanx!

hello guys! I have a question: I bought a 125 WR for my son recently, and it had the old TMX with square throttle. Nr 3 throttle. The bike didn,t run too well with this so i just put on my Factory TMXX from my 300 on it with the RM needle in second slot and throttle nr 4, and it was a great improvement. BUT i have a problem, and that is that the TMXX is about 10mm too short for the airbox. It just lines up to the hoseclamp. Does anyone of you have an easy solution to this?

Just posted on other thread, your fix. You will need the 5.0 slide for it to run the best. With the WR ignition, it is going to like a little richer pilot, probably a 42 or 45ish. The CR ignition likes a 37.5 to 35ish down. Some of the higher elevation guys are even further down.

Note: That carb likes a front, carb divider as well. It helps on the lower circuit of carb, throttle response.RB designs does lot of these carbs. They are really good! Others can chime in that used them. It is well worth the money.

I also am a big fan, of Walt's powervalve springs. I like the stock/silver combo, adjusted about 3/4 up.

By the way, what is the number on the needle? Makes difference on clip position?

Stick with it till you hit the mother load!

Ok, thanks Darty! The bike is a-08 model, but maybe it should have a #5 slide too? The needle is a 6CHY12-62, now in 2nd slot from top. We have around 10 degrees C here now, sealevel. What do i do with the airbox connection? Longer intake rubber? Is it available?

Use the 5.0 slide, that needle has one of the sharpest tapers from throttle opening, to opening the main. The 5 slide gives it the proper air mix. Then you'll be 460-470 main. Then mess with pilot size/needle clip position.

Also, you can stick another gasket in between the boot and reed block, and keep the one between the reed block/engine.

If it has the V-Force 2 reed block? Do you know what the reed limiter plates are set on? Low or High?

Ok, maybe i can cut the slide a bit then. I have a 410 main in it now, but after what you say i better go up to around 460 then? Even with that fat needle?
I haven,t checked the reeds yet, but i will check when we change piston which is high time to do:=)! I will go for a Wössner i think. I think i gave you the wrong needle number before! 6CHY16-62 it must be, not 12-62!

    Johnny,

Some of the husky shops have them laying around, from power up kits. Just a thought? Post a pic from the side of the reed housing and i can tell you what reed block you have in. V-force 3 is black. V-force 2 is grey. If you do have the V2 and it is set on high. You won't get the throttle torque as good on the bottom.

    Thanx

Ok, i check when i get home which colour the reedblock has! I don,t think the guy who raced it before has done any mods except the HGS exhaust. I,ll see how much i get done this evening. I will take the cylinder of my ported Honda CR 500 to rebore it before the iceracing season begins=). That bike doesn,t have any torque problems! Haha! Thanks so far Darin!

Darin! I checked the 125 and it has the grey reedblock,V2 then. i haven,t taken it apart today, but i guess i see what you mean with low and high setting when i have it in my hand. It,s been work on the 500 this evening.
