Two interesting articles involving the TR650 in the June, 2013 issue of Motorcyclist:
1. On Page 26, when talking about the Nuda, our pal Pierer states "We don't want that kind of motorcycle in the Husqvarna range. Our dealers won't be able to sell or service it because it's based on a BMW. We'll shortly stop manufacturing them."
2. The TR650 wins the "Singles Club" shoot out on pg.63.
I personally don't think that these two articles being placed in the same issue is a coincidence. The sales numbers and critical response are all saying the TR650 is a winner. I don't think it's a stretch to say that Motorcyclist is giving it's blessing to the bike. Ari Henning (also a MC magazine employee) did a recent video hailing the TR as his preference over the KTM Duke. Let's hope that Pierer is paying some attention to the media outlets and owner responses and doesn't just see the TR650 as a baby Nuda and give it the axe.
