I've used 3 brands, in order of preference:
Acerbis - stay away from the lower end ones
    Moose
    Cycra - Perfect!

Enduro Engineering Evolutions are the best IMO. Also sold as Moose Contours.

I use EE barkbusters, along with the G2 threaded bar inserts. Makes for a super easy installation. But I have heard great things about the Cycra ones.

First congratulations on getting an awesome bike. I've got an 07 TE250 and love it. I always use the Acerbis Rally Pro handguards (www.bobscycle.com). I've got the white ones on my bike and they look great. They're all plastic, so if you get closer to a tree than you're supposed to they will flex a bit and don't give you such a rigid jolt. If they get bent it's pretty easy to bend them back so they're not interferring with the levers. I've yet to break a set and I've got them on my wife and kid's bikes too.

One thing that no one told me about the TE250 when I bought it is not to worry about the power delivery "out of the box". I was disgusted on my first ride, it felt like a Honda CRF230. The reason is a gov. emissions requirement, the fix is a JD Jet Kit that is very easy to install. The most important piece is a (I don't know the technical names but I think you'll understand) rubber band, use the heavy one, that will make the carb open when you operate the throttle, stock there's a spring that will cause a hesitation. It made me crazy, but the rubber band fixes the hesitation and now I'm VERY happy with the throttle response.

I race hare scrambles and wanted just a bit more power, so I had an Athena big bore kit put in. Perfect. I didn't need all the power of the 450 and absolutely didn't want the extra weight. I feel pretty good about it seeing that Husky did exactly the same thing on the 09 TE310.

Good luck and enjoy the new Husky!

I tried Moose Racing Contours first and they didn't fit just right, they hit the cross bar on my '07, so I tried Cycra Pro-Bends. They fit perfect! And were easy to install! They have been great.
Trail tested so to speak and holding up great

Congrats on the new bike!

cycra pro bends ..three years of tree/rock bar banging and still ok. i dont run them with the plastics on though, just use the metal bar to protect fingers and levers from impacts not roost.
