After discovering my clutch master cylinder leaking yesterday, I dropped into my local Husky dealer to see if they had a kit in stock. Yep they did, for $150!!! What a ripoff. They also quoted me $120 for a camchain and $150 for the timing gear. Not happy. Did some searching and just ordered a spare clutch master cylinder kit, a camchain and a timing gear from Halls and with freight comes to a total of $207. I can't for the life of me understand how the dealership can sell parts at 2 to 3 times the price I can get them for online. I hope they make plenty from servicing and bike sales because they won't be getting any more of my dough. Rant over.
$150 for the clutch rebuild kit only? That ridiculous, Husky list price is only $60 so the dealer must have pulled up the wrong p/n.
