After reading many favorable reviews on this site I decided to buy a K270 for the rear of my TE511 as it is now my dual sport bike and sees 60% - 70% street while riding from home to dirt roads for fishing and what not.

I've been running it at about 18 - 20 PSI and find it will not slow down on the road, if I hit the breaks it likes to lock up almost instantly.

What would you say is the best on-road pressure?

I read, here, that 7 psi is good off road. I need to figure out a good way to pump it back up on the way home. But to date have been running it at 18 - 20 PSI off-road too.

7 psi off and 12-14 on it what I run. Good tire for DS.

Thanks! What kind of wear-mileage you getting running it at 12-14 on road? I bought the 4.5 because I wasn't sure the 5.10 would fit on the 511, but I might try the 5.10 next time. Which one are you using?

I have three of these tires in different sizes on different bike. Good long wearing tires but not for racing as they give up traction when pushed. Also see that some at 4 ply and some are 6. I have 1000 miles on the one on my 02 CR250 and it still has a lot of life in it.
